The third stage of the Itzulia Basque Country 2023 going to leave errenteria at 1:39 p.m. of the Wednesday April 5 (the neutralized start is set for 1:04 p.m.) and will end in Amasa-Villabona, after the cyclists have completed the 153.9 kilometers of the day’s route. The race will travel through the territory of Gipuzkoa.
It is a stage with two parts, as highlighted by the organization of the Itzulia on the test website. The first, up to villabona at kilometer 92, it presents a leg-breaking route along the coast of Gipuzkoa, with narrow roads and constant ups and downs; the final part will be played on a circuit that will end in a climb, which leads to the goal of Hikain which there is tranches up to 26%.
The cyclists will have to overcome five scoring ports for the Mountain Grand Prix, all of them 3rd category and located in the last 100 kilometers of the stage: meaga, Andatzarrate, Altzo, Orendainand again Altzo.
