The second stage of the Itzulia Basque Country 2023 will come out of Viana at 12:39 p.m. of the Tuesday April 4 (the neutralized start will take place ten minutes before it will be), and will end in Leitza. With 193.8 kilometres, it is the longest day of this edition of the race, and it will be held entirely in Navarre.

The two special sprints of the day will take place at kilometers 129 and 165, in Leitza and doneztebe, respectively. In addition, this second stage comes with five scoring ports for the mountain classification: etxaurisecond category, at kilometer 74 (11.3 kilometers, at 3.3%); uitzi, third, at kilometer 123, with 5.6 kilometers, at 4.2%; a first step by Arkiskilwith a climb of 4.5 kilometers, at 5.1%, classified as third category, at kilometer 134; saldias, second class, 2.3 kilometers with a hard average slope of 9.2%, at kilometer 147; and, at kilometer 188, a new pass through Arkiskilthis time with a climb of 11 kilometers, with an average slope of 3.2%, scoring second category.

The first part of the stage, until reaching Leitza at kilometer 129, it is, according to the organization of the Itzulia, a propitious terrain for a flight to take control of the race; From there, the runners will have to face a circuit that includes winding roads and in which, in addition, the weather can be a factor to take into account, since there will be several long descents.

the goal of Leitzato which the winner of the stage is expected to arrive between 5:16 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., You are on one of those descents. From the second pass by Arkiskil to the finish line, the organization has prepared a five kilometer descent in which whoever wants to win must take risks and show as much precision and skill as strength in their pedaling.
