The golfer from Biscay jon rahm and the Barcelona footballer Alexia Putellas have been named the best athletes of the year 2021, according to the vote of the jury of the National Sports Awards, the result of which was announced this Wednesday by the Higher Sports Council (CSD).
rahm reached in 2021 the first place in the world ranking of professional golf players and conquered the US Open and the second place in the Zozo Championshipwhile Alexia Putellas won the Champions League, La Liga and the Queen’s Cupin addition to achieving FIFA “The Best” awardwhich he also collected in his latest edition.
The awards ceremony will be held on April 18 at the Royal Palace of El Pardo.
