This Wednesday, in a press conference before the match between Portugal and Liechenstein for the Euro Cup qualifiers, Cristiano Ronaldo commented on his first impressions about Saudi football and his current career moment.

The Portuguese striker has been playing in Saudi Arabia since the beginning of the year, when he transferred to Al-Nassr. Cristiano Ronaldo was released by Manchester United at the end of November 2022 during the World Cup.

“I feel good, that’s why I’m here. If I wasn’t feeling well, if the ‘mister’ didn’t think so, I wouldn’t have come. Now in Saudi Arabia it’s a different stage, I won’t say it’s a Premier League, because I would be lying. But I’m very positively surprised, it’s a very competitive league”, said the 38-year-old athlete.

Regarding the potential of the Saudi Championship, Cristiano was full of praise and said that the league has everything to grow and become one of the best in the world.

“The teams are very good, the Arab players are good, the foreign players give a different quality. If the plan continues, it will certainly be the fifth, sixth most competitive league in the world. play, I’m prepared”, he analysed.
