Russian NHL player complained about the exchange of compatriots in other clubs

Hockey player Buchnevich spoke about the difficulties due to the departure from St. Louis Tarasenko and Barbashev

The Russian striker of the St. Louis Blues, Pavel Buchnevich, spoke about the difficulties due to the exchange of compatriots Vladimir Tarasenko and Ivan Barbashev to other clubs in the National Hockey League (NHL). His words are quoted by Sport-Express.

“It is very difficult when friends leave the team. We always communicated closely with many Russian guys, and then we had to get used to the fact that they were in other clubs, ”the hockey player complained. Buchnevich noted that Aleksey Toropchenko and Nikita Alexandrov remained in the team, but he talked with Tarasenko and Barbashev much more often and could talk to them.

On February 9, Tarasenko was traded from St. Louis to the New York Rangers. Barbashev moved to the Vegas Golden Knights. Both players with St. Louis won the Stanley Cup in 2019.

Louis is 11th in the Western Conference standings with 68 points. In the last match, the team lost to the Detroit Red Wings on shootouts with a score of 2: 3.
