AD: Dutch Ural football player Vluth faces 3.5 years in prison for fatal car accident
The Dutch footballer of the Yekaterinburg “Ural” Rai Vlut was under threat of imprisonment due to a fatal accident. AD reports.
The prosecutor’s office of the Netherlands asked for 3.5 years in prison for the 27-year-old legionnaire of the Russian Premier League (RPL) club. In addition, they want to deprive the Vluta of a driver’s license for four years.
In November 2021, in the Dutch city of Hoofddorp, an attacker, while intoxicated, became a member of an accident in which a four-year-old child died. According to prosecutors, the player was driving at a speed of 203 kilometers per hour and did not try to avoid a collision with another car. Initially, a friend of the athlete, who was in the passenger seat, took the blame, but Vloet later admitted that he was driving.
Vloot moved to Ural in the summer of 2022. This season he has played 16 matches for the team and scored five goals. The football player’s contract with Yekaterinburg is valid until December 31, 2024.
