Fluminense starts conversation to hire Thiago Silva

Fluminense continues in search of a spot for the next Libertadores. The Tricolores want to compete again in the main South American competition of the season.

Even without having the place guaranteed, it seems that the tricolor board is already working to reinforce the cast. According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Fluminense opened a conversation with Thiago Silva.

The 37-year-old defender is at Chelsea and has a contract until the middle of 2022. However, the athlete can renew for another season with the English.

Thiago Silva aims to compete in the 2022 World Cup. Therefore, the tendency is for the defender to only think about returning to Brazil after the World Cup.

Thiago Silva was an idol at Fluminense, where he played from 2006 to 2008. The defender was champion of the Copa do Brasil in 2007 and vice of the Libertadores in the following year. For the club, the player played 146 games and scored 14 goals.
