Van Anrooij claims victory at the Binda Trophy

Shirin van Anrooij (Trek-Segafredo) won the Binda-Comune di Cittiglio Trophy which was held this Sunday March 19 between Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca and Cittiglio with a distance of 139 kilometers.
The race was very eventful from the beginning and they were constant escape attemptsalthough neither came to fruition. ANDhe Trek-Segafredo de Van Anrooij did a great job in front of the peloton.
Already in the final kilometers Van Anrooij attacked and opened a hole. No one was able to hunt down the Dutch woman who ultimately claimed the win. Second was her teammate Elisa Balsamo 23 seconds ahead of Vittoria Guazzini (FDJ-SUEZ) who was third.
The Basque cyclist Ane Santesteban (Jayco-AlUla) finished 25th one minute and 31 seconds behind Shirin van Anrooij.
