WBA obliges Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury to sign a contract for a fight until April 1
The World Boxing Association (WBA) has announced a deadline for signing a contract for the fight between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and British Tyson Fury. About this in Twitter said the president of the organization, Gilberto Mendoza.
The WBA has required the athletes to come to an agreement by April 1st. Otherwise, the Ukrainian will have to start negotiations for a fight with Briton Daniel Dubois. Usyk on his page in Twitter stated that he had already sent the contract to Fury for approval.
On March 8, the promoter of the Ukrainian Alexander Krasyuk said that the discussion of the fight was being delayed due to disagreements on remuneration. Earlier, journalist Mike Coppinger said that the meeting of boxers should be held on April 29 in Saudi Arabia.
Fury has 33 wins and no losses. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw. Fury holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship belt.
Usyk has 20 wins in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
