In addition to the historic final in 2018, which he lost to France, Dalic led Croatia to third place in the 2022 World Cup, after eliminating Brazil in the quarterfinals.
The coach took over in 2017 and raised the bar for the national team, commanding the best generation of Croatian football, led by midfielder Luka Modric.
Croatia is also qualified for the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League, scheduled for next June.
