Athletic Bilbao defeated Real Valladolid away from home this Friday afternoon, by 3-1, in a duel valid for the 26th round of the Spanish Championship. Iñigo Martínez, Guruzeta and Mikel Vesga scored the goals that gave the visitors victory.
Bilbao dominated most of the game and managed to build the first two goals without major difficulties. The goal that opened the scoring came through a beautiful free kick, at 30 minutes of the initial stage.
Behind the scoreboard, Valladolid managed to score with Larin, 15 minutes from the final whistle. However, Vesga again extended the advantage in favor of the Basque Country team, close to 35.

With the result, Bilbao is in seventh place in La Liga and is again fighting for a place in European competitions next season. The team is just two points behind Villarreal, in sixth place. Valladolid is in 14th place.
Athletic Bilbao’s next match in the Spanish Championship is against Getafe, on April 1st. On the other hand, Valladolid faces a tough confrontation against Real Madridone day later.
