Kadyrov’s horse trainer in UAE suspended license

The Emirates Racing Authority has suspended the license for trainer Satish Simaru, who worked with the horse of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, nicknamed North America. Reported by Blood Horse.

Simar said he was informed that his license was immediately suspended due to the fact that one of his clients was included in the list of the US Foreign Assets Control.

The trainer said that at the moment Kadyrov’s horse is no longer in the stable in Dubai and the animal has been taken out of the UAE. Simar also stressed that this information was passed on to lawyers in the United States in order to resolve the issue of his removal from the sanctions lists.

In December 2020, the United States imposed sanctions on Kadyrov, companies associated with him, and people from his entourage due to the human rights situation in Chechnya. The list included coach Simar.

A horse named North America has repeatedly taken part in races in the UAE and won prizes. In 2018, the stallion won the first group races of the Dubai Word Cup Carnival.
