The Korrika will join Amurrio and San Sebastián between March 31 and April 10

The 22nd edition of the Run will cross the Basque Country between March 31 and April 10, 2022, departing from Amurrio and arriving at San Sebastián. This time, the chosen motto is “Hitzekin”, since, according to AEK, “it is time to take the Basque from words to action”.

In addition, in this edition, the Korrika will honor the group of clowns Pirritx, Porrotx and Marimotots “for the commitment and action shown throughout his career.”

The runners will travel 2,500 kilometers in 11 days to give their support to the Basque language with the aim of, as the general coordinator of AEK Alizia Iribarren has explained, “to shake the consciences in favor of the Basque language and to raise funds to help the Euskaltegis in their daily work. “

“With words”

Aitziber Balantzategi, president of the AEK Governing Board and member of the Korrika commission, explained that the theme chosen for this edition is “Hitzekin”: “It is time to act, it is time to move from words to action”.

A clear example of this commitment mentioned by Balantzategi is the Pirritx group of clowns, Porrotx eta Marimotots, whom the 22nd edition of the Korrika will honor.
