The meeting will take place on March 23 in Tehran. The players will play at the Azadi stadium, where fans will be allowed. The match will start at 20:00 Moscow time.
The last time the national teams of Russia and Iran met in 2017. Then the match ended in a draw with a score of 1:1. As part of the teams, Serdar Azmun and Dmitry Poloz distinguished themselves.
Earlier, on March 17, the final composition of the Russian national team for the March training camp was announced. Torino midfielder Alexei Miranchuk and Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin were called to the team.
