O Paris Saint Germain confirmed, this Wednesday, the renewal of Colin Dagba’s contract until June 2025. The club also informed that the right-back will play for Strasbourg, on loan, in the 2022/23 season.
“It was the best possible choice. Strasbourg showed a real interest in me, I felt a desire on their part to count on me. I think I can thrive here. There is a very pleasant atmosphere. I can’t wait to get started!”, the reinforcement told the club’s official website.
The 23-year-old moved from Boulogne to PSG in 2016 to defend the under-19 team. Since then, he has played 77 professional games, scoring one goal and six assists.
Last season, however, Dagba lost space and played only six matches, four of them as a starter. The Frenchman was the reserve of the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, who reached the International and entered the field 41 times – he should continue as an important piece for the new coach Christophe Galtier.
For the right side, during Hakimi’s few absences, Mauricio Pochettino used to opt for Thilo Kehrer. The German is a defender by trade, but he also played in the sector.
