Fury’s father compared his son’s upcoming fight with Usyk to an easy walk in the park
John Fury, the father of British boxer Tyson Fury, spoke about the upcoming fight between his son and Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. His words are quoted by Boxing Social.
Fury Sr. compared the fight with Usyk to an easy walk in the park. “Don’t forget that he was in one of the most dangerous fights in the world with Deontay Wilder, so Usyk poses no threat,” he said.
On February 2, it became known that the meeting of boxers should be held on April 29 in Saudi Arabia. “Usyk closed his end of the deal with the Saudis, now Fury has to do it. Otherwise, the fight could go to Wembley,” said ESPN journalist Mike Coppinger.
Fury has 33 wins and no losses. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw. Fury holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship belt.
Usyk has 20 wins in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
