Before the return match against Sporting in the Europa League, the coach of the Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, spoke at a press conference about the preparations for the confrontation. The coach was questioned about the presence of Gabriel Jesus among the starters and did not guarantee that the striker will start the game.
“We have to manage his minutes and his involvement in the cast and crew. But ‘Gabby’ is feeling good every day he’s been training. He says these senses are getting better and better, so that’s very positive,” he stated.

After four months out with a knee injury, Jesus returned to action for Arsenal in the 3-0 win against Fulham. The Brazilian came on in the 32nd minute of the second half in place of Trossard.
“It was great to see him back. You can feel the happiness of everyone around you: fans, players, staff. We missed him and now we are happy that he is back,” said Arteta.
Despite Arsenal drawing 2-2 in the first leg, the Spanish coach has not revealed whether he will use all the starting line-up at the Emirates Stadium. The match against Sporting is worth a place in the quarterfinals of the Europa Leaguewith the English needing a simple victory to pass the stage.
