Benzema and Vini Jr. have a positive mark against Liverpool in the Champions League

O Real Madrid back on the field this Wednesday against Liverpool, for the round of 16 round of the Champions League. After having won the first match by a resounding 5-2 defeat – even playing in England -, the Spaniards have a good advantage for the match in Madrid.

To avoid scares – as happened in the last edition of the competition against Chelsea -, Real Madrid has the return of striker Karim Benzema, who is a true executioner of Liverpool in the Champions League.

With six goals in seven matches played against the Reds, Benzema is the player who scored the most against the Anfield Road team in the Champions League. The most important, it was also the least beautiful, when goalkeeper Karius played the ball at the striker’s feet during the 2018 final.

At Anfield Road, the Frenchman seems to feel free to play and score against his opponent this Wednesday, as he scored four of his six goals playing at the stadium.

The Brazilian Vinicius Jr. it is Liverpool’s second most punished in the history of the competition, with five goals in four matches – including one in the last final.

After Vini, comes the Ivorian Drogba, with four goals in 10 games against Liverpool, followed by Ben Yedder and Frank Lampard, with three goals each in two and ten games, respectively.

It would come as no surprise if both Real Madrid forwards scored in this Wednesday’s match, as they are, in addition to being Reds’ executioners, one of the best in their positions in the world.
