Son brand and South Korea wins Iraq in the qualifiers; Japan defeats Oman

South Korea visited Iraq this Tuesday and won 3-0, in a game valid for the sixth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The visitors opened the scoring at 33 of the first half, with a goal by Lee Jae-Sung.

The nets only returned to swing in the second half. At 29, Son, in a penalty kick, expanded to Korea. Finally, at 34, Jeong scored the third goal and sealed the victory.

With the result, South Korea remains in second place in group A, with 14 points, two less than the leader Iran. Iraq is bitter in the second place, with just four points.

The Asian Qualifiers only return in January 2022. On the 27th, the South Koreans face Lebanon, away from home. Iraq, on the other hand, faces Iran, far from its domain.

Japan takes victory in the end

In another game on Tuesday, however, for group B, Japan beat Oman by 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by Ito, 36 in the second half. The result placed the Japanese in second place, with 12 points, four less than the leader Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, Oman is in fourth place, with seven points won.
