With the victory, Newcastle surpassed the Liverpool in the table and rose to fifth place in the Premier League, with 44 points. Wolverhampton, on the other hand, parks with 27 points in 13th position and continues in the fight against relegation.

After the break, Wolverhampton took advantage of a failure in the opponent’s defense to tie the match. In the 25th minute, the ball was launched into the Newcastle area and Trippier was ready to clear the danger. However, the England winger slipped and “handed over” the ball to striker Hwang Hee-chan to push into the back of the net.
In the 34th minute, Miguel Almirón countered with Joe Willock and received face to face with the goalkeeper. The Paraguayan hit hard, had a deflection from the defender and put Newcastle back in advantage in the match. In addition, defender Sven Botman had the chance to extend for the home team, but wasted a great opportunity.
