The team stated that they did not receive information from law enforcement agencies about Ivanyuzhenkov. They said that the 24-year-old hockey player and the team trained at the Bolshoi Sports Palace on March 10 and 11. It is noted that on March 12, a day off is scheduled in the team’s schedule.
The conflict in a cafe in Podolsk occurred on the morning of March 12. It was reported that a 23-year-old native of the Penza region was killed during the fight. In addition, it was stated that Ivanyuzhenkov was the main suspect, but then the Investigative Committee denied this information.
Ivanyuzhenkov has been playing for Sochi since 2022. The striker is the son of a State Duma deputy and former Minister of Sports Boris Ivanyuzhenkov.
