Biathlete Goreeva won the final women’s race of the Commonwealth Cup

Russian biathlete Goreeva won the mass start at the stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Tyumen

Russian biathlete Anastasia Goreeva won the mass start at the sixth stage of the Commonwealth Cup. The results are available on the website of the Russian Biathlon Union.

The race was the final one at the competitions in Tyumen. Goreeva covered the distance of 12.5 kilometers in 34 minutes 24.2 seconds, with two misses. In second place is Natalia Gerbulova, 12.2 seconds back with two penalties. Ekaterina Noskova won the bronze medal, 22.3 seconds back with four penalties.

After Goreeva’s victory on the air, “Match TV” stated that she tuned in to this race as much as possible. She added that the mass start will now become her favorite discipline.

Russians and Belarusians do not participate in international tournaments this season by decision of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). The order came into effect in March 2022 and will remain in effect until further notice.
