The head of the Russian Fencing Federation (FFR) Ilgar Mammadov revealed the details of the admission of the Russian and Belarusian teams to participate in international tournaments. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Mammadov said that the return of athletes to the competitions will take place no earlier than mid-April 2023. “There are no other reservations about the various documents, as in other sports. Now the International Fencing Federation (FIE) is talking about waiting for the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee, this still remains, ”the functionary said. He expressed his gratitude to his colleagues who voted for the participation of the national teams in competitions under the auspices of the FIE.
