Evra evaluates Jorginho as the best in the world: “I’m tired of seeing Messi with the Golden Ball”

Former full-back Patrice Evra made it clear that he prefers to see Jorginho, from Chelsea, be voted best player in the world. The Frenchman also cited N’Golo Kanté and questioned the possibility of Lionel Messi winning the award once again.

“In my opinion, this Golden Ball is for N’Golo Kanté or Jorginho, who well deserves it. I don’t understand why people say he’s just a midfielder. He won everything and played a big part in these triumphs,” Evra told the French newspaper Sunday Newspaper.

“I know [Jorginho] not winning, it will be an injustice. I’m sick of seeing Messi with the Golden Ball. What won last year? The Copa America, but what did you do with Barcelona?” asked the former defender of the Manchester United.

Last season, Jorginho was a key player at Chelsea, who won the Champions League, yes Italian selection, who became champion of Eurocup.

Messi, six times better in the world, took the Argentina of a row of 28 years without titles after winning the America Cup. However, the Argentine star, currently in the Paris Saint Germain, did not raise trophies with the Barcelona.

The Golden Ball award, organized by the magazine France Football, is scheduled for November 29, in Paris.
