Minnesota forward Kirill Kaprizov injured in NHL game against Winnipeg
Russian Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov was injured in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match against the Winnipeg Jets (4:2). It is reported by The Athletic.
In the middle of the third period, the forward was injured after Winnipeg defender Logan Stanley ran into him with his whole body. The Russian, limping, left the court and did not appear on the ice until the end of the game. According to Minnesota coach Dean Evason, Kaprizov will undergo a medical examination, the length of his absence will depend on the nature of the injury.
This season, Kaprizov played 65 games for Minnesota, in which he scored 39 goals and gave 35 assists. The 25-year-old Russian is the team’s top scorer in this championship.
Kaprizov has been playing for Minnesota since 2020. In his debut season, the Russian was recognized as the best newcomer in the NHL.
