After hanging up his boots in October 2022, Frenchman Frank Ribéry told the German newspaper sports image who is preparing to become a soccer coach. The former player currently holds the position of assistant coach at Salernitana.

“I am currently preparing to graduate. Taking up the position of coach will allow me to rediscover this adrenaline and this pressure that accompanies training and games on a daily basis. I can’t live without it. I need this to be happy.”

At the Italian club, the retired striker is part of the technical commission of Paulo Souza, former coach of Flamengo. Very impressed by his successful spell at Bayern, Ribéry also commented on Kingsley Coman, his successor at the German club.
