Absent from the last matches of the Barcelona due to physical problems, striker Robert Lewandowski should return to the starting lineup in the confrontation against Athletic Bilbao, on Sunday (12). According to the newspaper Sportthe Pole has fully recovered and is able to play the full 90 minutes.

Lewandowski suffered an overload in the biceps of his left thigh in the defeat to Almería, for spanish league. The injury meant the 34-year-old missed games against Real Madrid and Valencia. Without his striker, coach Xavi had to improvise winger Ferran Torres in the position.

The number 9 had already returned to the training camps last Saturday, but was not included in the last match. Without Lewandowski, Barcelona had more difficulties putting the ball in the back of the net: despite the two victories, there were only two goals scored in the duels that the star was out.

At the top of the Spanish Championship, the Catalans have 62 points in 24 rounds, nine more than their rival and second place Real Madrid. In addition, Lewandowski is also the competition’s top scorer so far, with 15 goals.
