England and Switzerland qualify for the World Cup; Italy falls to the playoffs

England and Switzerland qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this Monday after beating San Marino and Bulgaria respectively. Italy, on the other hand, will play the classification in the play-off.

Switzerland achieved victory against Bulgaria (4-0) and got the ticket to the World Cup. The Swiss (18 points) certified the leadership of group C, while Italy (16 points) finished second after drawing with Northern Ireland (0-0). The champion of Euro 2021 will play the repechage, so he will have another chance to be in Qatar 2022.

England will also be at the World Cup event. The English team thrashed San Marino (0-10) although the tie served him to qualify for the World Cup. The English have sealed the leadership of group I, while Poland finished second despite their loss to Hungary (2-1). The Poles, to the repechage.
