Russian UFC champion Islam Makhachev said he was ready for any new opponent
The Russian champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Islam Makhachev spoke about the desired opponents. His words are quoted by BT Sport.
“Now I’m just waiting for the call to call me and name the next opponent. I hope Beneil Dariush wins [Чарльза] Oliveira, because I have already fought with Oliveira. I need a new challenge. I am ready for anything, ”said the athlete.
On February 12, 31-year-old Makhachev defeated Australian Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284 by unanimous decision. He defended the organization’s lightweight title for the first time.
On October 23, Makhachev was stronger than Oliveira at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. The Russian defeated the opponent with a choke hold.
In total, in his professional career, Makhachev won 24 victories and suffered one defeat. American Beneil Dariush has 22 wins, four losses and one draw.
