Independiente del Valle has become the proud team of Ecuador, they have won two South American Cups and last Tuesday they won the Recopa.

At the legendary Maracana stadium, Martín Anselmi’s team won the precious trophy by defeating Flamengo, the current Libertadores de América champion, on penalties (5-4).

The international achievements of those from Sangolquí have captivated fans, leaders and others associated with football, for example they have the striped team.

From Colombia, Brazilian Pablo Autori, coach of Atlético Nacional, with extensive experience in leading teams from his country and even teams like Peru and Qatar, highlighted the process that the tricolor team had.

Is Atlético Nacional becoming like Independiente del Valle to achieve something with young people?, the 66-year-old strategist was asked.

“We are far because how many years has Independiente del Valle been working with the same process? He changed coaches, but in his selection process, the coach has the same characteristics of the club, not the coach,” he clarified at the press conference.
