The rider, speaking in a neutral status, described the attitude of Europeans towards Russians

MV2S Racing driver Vyacheslav Gutak said that Russians are treated very well in Europe

Vyacheslav Gutak, the Russian racer of the French MV2S Racing team from the Asian Le Mans endurance racing series, in a commentary to Lente.ru, described the attitude of Europeans towards Russians. The 19-year-old athlete, speaking in a neutral status, said that he had not met with hostility towards himself.

“A year ago, no one understood what was happening. We had to look for new ways, places, teams. All existing contracts were terminated. And now everything is fine with the conclusion of contracts and the attitude towards us in the sports environment. In Europe, we are treated very well. Tension can be felt if you meet colleagues from Ukraine, but we still try to communicate positively, ”he said.

Gutak added that he also did not notice the negative comments of foreigners due to the lack of a flag among the Russians. “Even before the CBO, we competed at some races under a neutral flag due to doping scandals in Russian sports. There is no catastrophe in status neutral,” he added.

Gutak made his Asian Le Mans endurance debut in 2022 with G-Drive Racing. In the current season, the Russian moved to MV2S, the French rider Jerome de Sadeler and Fabien Lavergne became the rider’s partners. The team stopped a step away from the championship title.
