Video of Kudryashov’s injury before his own goal in the match with Croatia is shown

Match TV published a video filmed from behind the gates of the Russian national team during the 2022 World Cup qualifying match against the Croatian team. The video is available in Twitter-channel account.

The footage of the episode that happened immediately before the own goal of the defender of the Russian national team Fyodor Kudryashov is shown. They show the moment the player was injured. Kudryashov grabbed the back of the thigh. After that, he continued to play, and after a few seconds he scored into his own goal.

Earlier, the head coach of the national team Valery Karpin spoke about Kudryashov’s injury during the match. He said that he did not notice a specific episode, but drew attention to the fact that at that time the coaching staff no longer had any replacements.

Kudryashov’s own goal was the only goal scored in the final round of the selection for the 2022 World Cup. The victory allowed the Croatian national team to overtake Karpin’s team and take first place in Group H.

The Russian national team will continue to fight for the right to play at the World Championship in play-offs. In the semifinals, Russian footballers can meet with Scotland, Czech Republic, Sweden and Austria. In the final, the Russians can play with North Macedonia, Poland and Portugal.
