Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev says he’s not going to move to MMA
Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev answered the question about the transition to mixed martial arts (MMA). His words are reported by Match TV.
The athlete said that he was not going to change boxing to MMA. “I will continue to box,” he stressed.
Earlier it became known the name of the next opponent Beterbiev. The 38-year-old Russian will fight with the 32-year-old Briton Callum Smith. The date and venue of the fight is currently unknown.
On January 29, Beterbiev defeated British Anthony Yarde by technical knockout in the eighth round. He defended three world titles in the light heavyweight category: according to the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO). In total, the Russian won 19 victories in his career and did not suffer a single defeat.
