This Friday, Uefa defined the matches of the round of 16 of the Conference League, which will take place between 9 and 16 March. The draw took place shortly after the definition of the duels of the Europa League.
Among the main matches, the highlight is Lazio, who will face AZ Alkmaar and decide the confrontation away from home. West Ham, on the other hand, was luckier and will play against AEK Lanarca, from Cyprus. Villarreal and Anderlecht is another outstanding duel.

Pot 1 had the teams that passed in first place in the group stage of the competition: AZ (Netherlands), Djurgarden (Sweden), Istanbul Basaksehir (Turkey), Nice (France), Sivasspor (Turkey), Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia) , West Ham (England) and Villarreal (Spain).
Pot 2 was made up of clubs that were in the Round of 16 stage, that were third in the Europa League group stage or second in the Conference: AEK Lanarca (Cyprus), Anderlecht (Belgium), Basel (Switzerland), Fiorentina (Italy), Gent (Belgium), Lazio (Italy), Lech Poznan (Poland) and Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova).
This is only the second edition of the competition, which was created in 2021 to add more teams outside the major European centers. The quarterfinal games will be defined on March 17th.
