Coach Tarasova called Evgeni Plushenko a fool for filing a complaint against coach Fedchenko
Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova commented on the information that the Angela Plushenko Academy filed a complaint against coach Sofya Fedchenko with the Ethics Commission of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR). Her words are quoted by Match TV.
The specialist called the two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko a fool for his act. “Well, is it a man? So the hysteria continues. It’s not proper for a man to do this – to complain about a woman. Somehow it is small, ”said Tarasova.
Plushenko’s filing of a complaint became known earlier on February 24. The reason was Fedchenko’s interview with the Life newspaper, in which she called Plushenko’s words about Russian judges hysterical and the inability to admit coaching mistakes.
On February 16, Fedchenko’s student Alina Gorbacheva won the Russian Championship among juniors, ahead of Plushenko’s student Veronika Zhilina by 5.62 points. After that, Plushenko criticized refereeing.
