Russian mixed-style fighter (MMA) Usman Nurmagomedov will not be accused in the case of hitting a policeman at Makhachkala airport. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a source in the security forces.
The athlete, who is the cousin of the former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, will receive witness status and will not be subject to a preventive measure. The accused will be his friend Kamal Idrisov, who was sent under house arrest for two months.
On November 13, it was reported that Nurmagomedov and Idrisov were taken to the investigator. Before that, they were sent under escort from Moscow to Makhachkala.
The athlete and his companion were detained on November 11 at the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. According to law enforcement officers, before flying to the capital from Makhachkala, they hit a police officer by car. The victim was hospitalized, a criminal case was opened.
