Enner Valencia, the striker who shone with Ecuador at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, will be a new player for Inter Porto Alegre, according to a Brazilian newspaper.

The forward, who will end his relationship with Turkish side Fenerbahçe next June, would have already reached an agreement to join the red team.

“Inter has signed a preliminary contract with forward Enner Valencia. At the age of 33, the Ecuadorian who defends for the Turkish Fenerbahçe will land in Beira-Rio only in the second half of the year. Apart from the link, the parties have agreed to a ‘pact of silence’ that they will publicly withhold information due to the good relations between the athlete and the Turkish club,” the portal’s note reads. Gauchazh.

“The Colorado delegation, led by President Alessandro Barcellos, has been in Europe for the past few days. On Thursday (16th), documents were signed guaranteeing that none of the other interested parties will hire the strikers. In recent months, along with the current team, the author of 23 goals in 30 matches of the European calendar has also shown interest from Asian teams,” he added.

According to the note, it was the 33-year-old Ecuadorian who “demanded” that any information about his departure from the Turkish team be “withheld”.

“At the same time, because of the relationship with Fenerbahçe, Valencia demanded that the board of directors of Colorado deny information about the settlement. He does not want his image to be damaged in Turkey, where he is an idol and captain. So, any confirmation will happen only in two situations: from July 1 or with an early release from the Turks,” the news said.

“The projection made by the Inter management is that Valencia will arrive to fight the Libertadores in the round of 16 and also for the Brasileirão of the round of 16. The second half of the transfer window opens again on July 3,” the portal concludes. (D)
