The doctor called the causes of blockage of brain vessels in Kostomarov

The doctor said that cerebral thrombosis in Kostomarov could have occurred due to inflammation

Cardiologist Lyudmila Permyakova named the causes of blockage of brain vessels in the Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov. Her words are quoted by Sport-Express.

Permyakova said that cerebral thrombosis in a 46-year-old athlete could have occurred due to inflammation, increased pressure, stress or injury. “It is dissolved or removed by surgical methods,” the doctor said about the methods of treatment.

On February 20, the SHOT Telegram channel reported that a quarter of Kostomarov’s brain was affected due to hemorrhage and hematoma in the frontal lobe. Later, doctors said that there was no severe cerebral edema. Tomography revealed only a small focus of clogged blood vessels in the head. However, according to REN TV, on the night of February 21, the athlete had another stroke.

Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. The figure skater underwent several limb amputations. According to the Telegram channels “112” and Mash, Kostomarov’s left foot was amputated, as well as several fingers on both hands.
