Agent Kokorin Berdyshev denied rumors about the plans of a football player to obtain citizenship of Cyprus
Timofey Berdyshev, agent of the Russian striker “Aris” Alexander Kokorin, appreciated the information about the client’s plans to change citizenship. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Berdyshev denied rumors that the player wants to get a Cypriot passport. “For some, the New Year holidays are not over yet, apparently,” the agent said.
On February 18, football agent Alexei Safonov, in an interview with Match TV, announced Kokorin’s desire to obtain Cypriot citizenship. In his opinion, the striker found his country.
At the moment, Kokorin is on loan at Aris. The rights to the player belong to the Italian Fiorentina, which he joined in January 2021. The contract of the Russian is calculated until June 2024. This season, the 31-year-old Russian has played 17 matches for Aris, in which he scored eight goals and four assists.
