The Senegalese striker Sadio Mané participated this Sunday morning in his first collective training with the Bayern Munchen since he suffered a fibula injury in his right leg in November, which kept him out of the 2022 World Cup.
“This feeling is just fantastic,” said Mané after training at Säbener Strasse, the club’s training ground.
“I’m a player, football is my life, I’ve been missing it a lot. I’m still motivated, I’m happy to find the fans, football, the environment, score goals and win in the end”, continued the striker.
Mané was injured on November 8, in Bayern’s 6-1 thrashing of Werder Bremen for German Championshipand did not recover in time to play in the World Cup in Qatar for the Senegal team.

Bayern’s main signing for the season, Mané could not be used in the first leg of the round of 16 of the European Champions League last Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain, which ended with the victory of the Germans by 1 to 0 in the Parc des Princes.
The coach of the team, Julian Nagelsmann, had indicated on Friday that, with a full week of training, Mané could be included in the duel next Sunday against Union Berlin, at the Allianz Arena, for the Bundesliga.
The return game against PSG already Champions is scheduled for March 8, in Munich (ALE).
