In all, De Gea was without being leaked in 180 games. According to United, the current holder has played in 521 opportunities with the Red Devils shirt. The goalkeeper has been in the squad since 2011 and has been one of the main names on the team since then.

Schmeichel, on the other hand, needed fewer games to reach the mark. The Dane played 386 times for the Manchester team to reach the same 180 clean sheets. The athlete played for the club from 1991 to 1999, in one of United’s most successful eras.
De Gea could break the mark as early as next Thursday. The British receive Barcelona at Old Trafford, earning a place in the Round of 16 stage of the Europa League. In the first leg, the two teams drew 2-2.
