“Tennis as a sport showed its respect for the athletes best of all. We participate and play everywhere, except for team competitions, ”he said. Tarpishchev noted that the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) are on the side of the Russians.
Earlier, on February 18, it was reported that the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) may be deprived of the opportunity to hold ATP and WTA tournaments if it prohibits Russian athletes from participating in competitions under its auspices. Also, the British organization can be fined.
