The press service of the Russian football club “Shinnik” told “Lente.ru” about the state of the team four days after the fight with the Ukrainian players “Minaya”. Now the team is resting before the new training camp.
“At the moment, everything is fine with the team – serious injuries [в ходе драки] was not received. Now the players are on the weekends, and tomorrow the third training camp begins, ”said the representative of the football club.
On February 13, the players of the Russian and Ukrainian teams staged a mass brawl at the Royal Seginus Hotel. After the incident, both teams checked out of the hotel.
Shinnik said that the Russian players stood up for their teammate, who was attacked by the Ukrainians. In Minai, they considered that the Russians provoked the Transcarpathians, and added that they did not want to live with Shinnik in the same hotel.
“Shinnik” takes the tenth place in the Russian First Football League (the second strongest division). Minai, representing the village of the same name in the Transcarpathian region, is in 13th position in the elite Ukrainian division.
