The “300 plus” relief for an employee allows you to deduct expenses related to commuting to work. How much you can gain depends on the distance you have to cover on your way to the headquarters of the company where we work. If the plant is located in the same town, you are entitled to PLN 250 per month, i.e. PLN 3,000 per year. You can gain more when you are away from your place of residence, because then you are entitled to PLN 300. Annually, this gives as much as PLN 3,600, which can be deducted.

Most people may not even be aware that they are already using this . All because it can be taken into account by the employer when calculating remuneration. This is possible when it includes commuting to work in the employee’s tax deductible costs. You can also do it yourself by filling in PIT-37 in section D or in PIT-36 in part E, indicating the amounts. However, it should be remembered that only the costs of travel by rail, public transport or ferry are included, and the paid tickets for travel should be kept.

Relief for commuting to work. How much can you gain from it?

“300 plus” for the employee increases the tax deductible costs, which positively reduces the tax base. This means that in real terms, we will not receive an additional PLN 250 or PLN 300 per month, but they will be much smaller. In the end, the employee will be left with about PLN 9 per month, which gives a little over PLN 100 per year.
