Fitness expert says sports nutrition is essential for high-intensity workouts
Vice-Rector of the College of Fitness and Bodybuilding. Ben Vader on scientific and methodological work Roman Yurikov assessed the safety of the use of sports nutrition. His words are quoted by Sport-Express.
According to the expert, sports nutrition is necessary for high-intensity training, as it allows you to consume the daily calorie intake without overloading the stomach. “Incoming food should be as light as possible and with a high nutritional density. The so-called “food bolus” on average should not exceed 500-700 grams,” the expert explained. He added that otherwise there is a risk of twisting of individual sections of the intestine, which can be fatal.
Yurikov noted that for those who do not attend high-intensity classes, it makes no sense to buy sports nutrition. The fitness expert advised choosing certified supplements and carefully reading labels.
Previously, scientists from the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm) and the University of Copenhagen named the best time to play sports in order to lose weight. According to experts, the metabolic rate is higher during the daytime, so the most favorable period for training is late in the morning.
