The executive director of the RRF said that the leaders of the national team do not plan to change citizenship
Executive Director of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Alexander Pak assessed the possible change of citizenship by representatives of the national team. It is reported by “Match TV”.
According to the functionary, the organization takes this calmly. “Surely someone is planning to move, but we don’t have such information. As practice shows, several people a year change their citizenship. It’s not necessary to talk about the leaders not only of the national team, but also of the regions, ”Pak said.
The executive director of the RRF also said that none of the foreigners expressed a desire to play for Russia. “We are educating our personnel, we have a reserve,” he added.
On September 16, the International Biathlon Union extended the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from tournaments under its auspices, which has been going on since the beginning of March last year. The order will remain in effect until further notice.
