Well, personnel from the National Transit Agency (ANT) told this newspaper that resolution 026-de-ANT-2022 of March 31, 2022 remains in force.

Through this, an extension of the validity and use of licenses that expired as of January 1, 2020 was granted.

The resolution of the end of March of last year, according to article 1, indicates that the extension was given until the rate of users who had not obtained said licenses is less than 50% of the total percentage and the approval of the Directorate is received. The extension will be maintained for fifteen calendar days after the date of approval by the Executive Directorate, so that the public is informed of the definitive cessation of this extension, as stated in the document.

Article 2 of the current resolution indicates that the free movement of people holding licenses that have expired since January 1, 2020 will be allowed during this time, provided they meet two requirements:

to) Have the printed shift obtained on the ANT website.

b) Have an expired license or complaint for loss or theft.

The verification of compliance with the requirement of the deposit made by the user to access the procedures related to the licenses is the responsibility of the user service servers of the National Transit Agency.

Meanwhile, the operational traffic control agencies at the national level will strictly observe the content of the resolution in order not to harm the rights of citizens, the resolution states.
