Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Islam Makhachev explained the decision of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to leave him second in the ranking of the best fighters in the promotion. His words are quoted by TASS.
Makhachev admitted that the UFC did not put him in first place because of his attitude towards Russia. “I never expected justice and now I do not. <...> Our attitude is always the same. The most important thing is that I went, defeated their champion, and they raised my hand. With a raised head, he confidently came home with a belt, ”said the Russian.

The updated ranking of the best UFC fighters, regardless of weight category, was published on February 14. Leadership in it was retained by the Australian Alexander Volkanovski.
