Even after recovering from injury, striker Kylian Mbappé will start the match against Bayern Munich on the bench, according to the French newspaper The Parisian. The 24-year-old athlete was doubtful for this Tuesday’s duel for the Champions League.
After picking up an injury against Montpellier in early February, Mbappé was racing against time to recover before the decisive match. Despite returning to training last Sunday, coach Christophe Galtier did not guarantee the presence of the Frenchman for the confrontation.
“Kylian has done a great job to give himself the best possible chance of being available. As I speak, I don’t know if Kylian will be on the bench. I have to wait until Tuesday morning and find out how he feels.”
With the number 7 on the bench, PSG loses its top scorer for the knockout match. Mbappé has made 26 appearances for the Paris club this season, scoring 25 times and providing six assists. On the other hand, Neymar and Messi should be among the starters against Bayern.
