Kacper Sztuka is definitely one of the most talented drivers of the young generation around the world. The 17-year-old competitor has already shown his excellent side in recent years in both karting and Italian Formula 4 races, where in the 2022 season he managed to finish fifth in the general classification, racing for the US Racing team, founded by, among others, . Ralf Schumacher.
Formula Winter Series 2023
During the second weekend of February, two Formula Winter Series races took place at the track in Jerez. In them, Sztuka was second to none, outplaying his rivals in a brilliant way. The Pole not only managed to cross the finish line twice as the first, but also twice set the best time in the qualifying time trials preceding the race.
Thanks to the fantastic attitude in Jerez, the 17-year-old Polish representative was in the lead in the general classification of the series, with 52 points. Until the end of the competition in the Formula Winter Series cycle, there are still three weekends left on Spanish tracks – in Valencia, Navarra and Barcelona.
The fight for dreams
Thanks to better and better results in junior series, Sztuka is getting closer to the desired Formula 3, which would allow him to show his capabilities in official competitions under the aegis of the FIA. At the moment, the only Pole we will be able to see during the races accompanying Formula 1 is 19-year-old Piotr Wiśnicki, who signed the contract with the Charouz team a few days ago.
The younger of the representatives of our country, at the end of the 2022 season, he also appealed to sponsors for support in career development. The talented driver is still not sure of a place in any prestigious racing series due to the lack of adequate funds for starts. According to the information appearing in the mediac, Sztuka was recently to start talks with PKN Orlen, which could significantly help him achieve success.
Poles will attack Red Bull?
As has been known for several days, PKN Orlen has officially become a new sponsor of the AlphaTauri team, racing in Formula 1. The stable from Italian Faenza has been cooperating with the Red Bull brand for many years, becoming the sister team of the Austrian team, e.g. testing juniors under the sign of red bulls in racing conditions, aspiring to take a seat in one of the fastest cars in the world.
Due to the cooperation of the team led by the charismatic Franz Tost with the Polish fuel giant, there was a great opportunity for Polish drivers to join the junior Red Bull program. It is therefore possible that Kacper Sztuka will soon be able to follow a slightly easier path to Formula 1.
